I'm not. I've just been preoccupied with life changes. It's weird, I've always believed people come into our lives for a specific reason, but the last few months have had me thoroughly confused as to why some individuals are around me. I guess you could say I needed to spring clean my life. The cleaning out of creeps and losers has been fulfilling in the craziest way. Like a huge weight of bullshit has been lifted off my frail shoulders. In any case, the few and true friends and family I have, have been making my life a magical wonderland of happiness as of late. And since buying a brand new fancy camera a couple months ago, I've gone back to my first love of taking ridiculously pointless pictures that only mean anything to me. And now I shall share these pointless photos with all of you, because it's obvious you all totally get me. Right?
Since I equate all of life's little hiccups to either episodes of Seinfeld or song lyrics, I'll leave you all with this little nugget of greatness that sums up the last month of my life: "I know way to many people here right now that I didn't know last year. Who the fuck are ya'll?". Drake to the rescue? I think so...

the rudest night in music.
Kanye West effectively showed us all that he has absolutely no class.
I'm pretty sure the internet will be on fire updating you all on what took place during this years Video Music Awards. For the most part, the recaps won't be about the excellent Michael Jackson tribute performed by his sister Janet, and it won't be about Lady Gaga's disturbing rendition of "Paparazzi" either. Tomorrow your inbox's, twitter pages, blog feeds, and facebook's will all be focused on yet another of Kanye West's classless outbursts.
There is so much I could say right now but I'm pretty sure I'd come off as a judgmental bitch, so I'll end with this: If you don't challenge a person to change, they never will. Kanye West and ALL of his outbursts are unacceptable, and classless. Tonight I've read so many tweets and blog comments where people are excusing his blatant ignorance because 1) he's just Kanye and 2) they aren't into Taylor Swifts music. UNACCEPTABLE. Respect is respect.
I know that he's given away awards of his because he felt someone better deserved them, but we can't expect everyone to do that. Especially because as an artist you should be your biggest fan. Whose to say Taylor Swift thought she actually deserved that award. We shouldn't shrug off this obvious insult as "Kanye just being Kanye". If that's the case, Kanye needs to grow the fuck up. There's this little thing called tact, and he basically showed us he has none.
PS. I have so much more respect for Beyonce now than I ever have in the past. Forget how I feel about her music and her acting (cough), she's a class act for sure.
PPS. His apology is wack sauce. How do you apologize and then try to justify your actions as you just being a fan of pop culture? GTFOH!

r.i.p. dj am.
As far as deaths go, the last couple of years have been punching everyone below the belt with the passing of many iconic and well known celebrities. After a long day out riding bikes and enjoying the weather, I came home to find out Adam Goldstein aka DJ AM had passed away this morning of a accidental drug overdose in his home. Aside from his music, DJ AM was known for dating the likes of Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore, and more recently for being involved in a near fatal plane crash with Blink 182's Travis Barker."New York, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in New York ain't always what it seems." (DJ AM's last tweet 3 days ago)
It's extremely sad to see anyone die, but I think this is hitting home for me because he was so young and this was so sudden. Before the deaths of AM, Michael Jackson, and Heath Ledger, I'd never thought of life as fragile. My Grandma use to tell me that death was something that will inevitably happen, but I'd always thought it happened when you were older, not this young. May sound naive, but I like to think I've got many great years ahead of me. Although this is true, the time we have on earth is never guaranteed or known to any of us. No one knows when the party is over. Life is indeed fragile. I don't mean to sound morbid or depressing, but I think it's important for all of us to enjoy everyday we breath, and live each day as if it were our last because you never know when it's the end.

rant & rave: celebrities are killing fashion.
I've thought about writing my feelings down on the subject for awhile now, but every time I put my fingers to my laptops keyboard, all that comes out is an angry mirage of swear words and obscenities. Now that I'm coming down from my caffeine high, I can responsibly display my feelings on this touchy subject. This doesn't mean there won't be swear words. What the hell do you expect?
In my opinion, there is no doubt in my mind that celebrities are murdering the creative aspect of fashion now a days. Seems like you can't sell anything without some big name being attached to it. I blame the media, I blame celebrities, but most of all, I blame society. People are so quick to jump and grab something with a name on it. The lines for the Yeezy's were out of this world, but why? Was it because of the design, or was it because the infamous Kanye West created them? If they had been made by a no name Nike designer, do you think people of all ages would have been climbing in each other to get a pair? I doubt it highly.
Now a days after you've achieved a certain level of celebrity, it seems like people are looking towards branding themselves in the most obvious of ways. Of course let's get you a clothing line Beyonce. Right this way Kanye, Louis Vuitton is waiting for you. People would LOVE a Kim Kardashian perfume. GAG.
It makes me angry because with this over saturation of fashion going on right now, where does that leave room for the people who study this art form? Does it leave room for those who have dreampt of the day they can work for a designer, let alone have their own line? Does it leave room for me, a person whose life goal is to one day work for a fashion magazine, only to see tweets that some no name rapper is interning for the likes of Vogue and GQ? I think celebrities are greedy. When one does something, they all do it. When everyone and their mother has a clothing line, a perfume, and a shoe named after them, what room is that going to leave for true creativity?
Celebrity driven products are blurring the lines of creativity. There's no evolution to fashion anymore. No creativity, nothing unique. We see the same things, the same ideas, and the same people pushing them. There aren't any new faces in the limelight, no real talent. The ones that are trying to get there are forced to get on this marketing band wagon with promises of a one way ticket to success.
I'm sure there are some who won't share my views and opinions on this subject, but I guess that's the beauty of it all. I'm just tired of no one putting it out there. Media, especially some blogs are the main cosigners of this tragedy. We regard Kanye West interning at the Gap as important fashion news, when his spot may be taking away from a design student who has the credentials and appropriate talent for the job. I find that to be shocking and rather sad.
So there, I said it. Call me a hater if you'd like, but I won't be the asshole in line to get a pair of Yeezy khakis or a Dereon hoodie.

how did i miss this?
After creeping around the interwebs for the last couple of hours, I stumbled on these Adidas ads from the 2008 Olympics in Beijing wondering how I never missed out on them. The ads really embody the togetherness of the Olympic games and are beautifully crafted. Illustrators Luming and Lance Ma drew the backgrounds BY HAND. Amazing...

Spencer Pratt is the White Jay Z?
In a recent interview former Hills crackhead, I mean 'STAR', Spencer Pratt sat down with that station that use to be about music, I mean, MTV to discuss the idiot plan someone had to make him a rap star. Yes, you read that correct. RAP STAR. As in Biggie, Tupac, Public Enemy, Kanye West, and Jay Z for that matter. The controversial shit stain goes as far as to say that HE is the white Jay Z.
If I could copy and past all the fuckery that he spewed in that attempt of an interview without getting in trouble I would, but for now please visit HERE to read the entire thing. It's demeaning, disgusting, and down right SAD that this fool thinks he is the next great white hope. While legitimate lyricists are out here on the grind just to get even a fraction of the shine that this guy has for no reason at all, he's talking out the side of his mouth."I'm the white Jay-Z in the game. I'm doing the baller thing. I'm more for the streets."
Word to the wise Spencer Pratt.
- If you quote Gucci and Soulja Boy as the only rappers you look up to: there is something wrong.
- If you even think about comparing yourself to Jay Z when he happens to be one of the greatest lyricists of our time: there is something wrong.
- If you refer to yourself and your wife as the 'new age Biggie and Lil Kim': there is something wrong.
- If you even THINK you want to go 'after the ringtone game': there is something wrong.
- If you even dare to bring back the 'baller mentality' to the rap game, you are sadly mistaken. That went out in 1999 just like throw back jeresys and: there is something wrong.
EPIC FAIL.

solidarity is a bitch.
I. HATE. HER.
Seeing as the economy sucks, and I have been without employment for a couple of weeks, I'm finding myself going a little stir crazy for attention. Never having been one who liked or even welcomed the incessant fawning of others, its a little more than weird that I'm finding myself searching through my phone looking for people to bother because I have nothing better to do than 'hang out'. What nonsense is this?!
At first I thought laying off the 9-5 for awhile would be good for me. I could catch up on reading, go running, see the sites, reconnect with old friends. NO! All it has been is a way for me to:
A: think WAY too much about my future.
B: decided how in GODS NAME I'm going to get there.
C: look around and see all the stuff that I haven't done and cry about it.
D: get FAT.

Well ladies, gents, and trannies, I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. Time to Get Off My Ass and do something. Do what? I have no idea, but anything is better than this. ANYTHING...

when life gives you lemons.
Today is a bad day. You know how you get this restless feeling, like theirs a knot in your stomach that just won't untie. You get anxious about absolutely NOTHING, and you've got no idea why. Well I've been feeling like that for a couple weeks now. And now I know why.Today I lost my job. Now in this economy that's bound to happen, but you never know how it feels until it happens to you. It sucks. It hurts. It makes you want to kick someones fucking ass. But then you take a step back, reevaluate some things, and keep it moving.
Life hasn't been giving me as many lemons as it use too. So I guess I'm due for this kick in the groin, but you know what. I refuse to lay down and feel horrible about myself. Life has given me lemons but like Atmosphere says...I'm about the pain the shit gold. Maybe this is the kick in the ass I needed to start making the name I want for myself. Maybe this is just what I needed to REALLY start working towards the type of life I want to lead. Maybe this is it....

r.i.p. missbehave magazine.
Before reading this I'd like everyone to stop and take a moment of silence. Why? Because Missbehave Magazine is no more...Yes, you read that correct. Grammatical errors aside, the girly mag most of us have come to love and look for in our mail boxes every 4 - 6 months is dead and gone...First: My internet hero Sarah Morisson gets the axe (side eye). Second: the Editor in Chief Lesley Arfin gets the swift kick in the ass (blank stare). Third: The magazine goes digital and I get shafted out of my subscription (clutches pearls). And now Founder Samantha Moeller is leaving the magazine to tend to her budding family. Nothing wrong with that, do what you gotta do, but after reading the comments and the overwhelming amount of pure ANGER that came from some of the women on her staff (ahem Baby Sinead), I'm now forced to believe that something in the milk ain't clean.
Apparently the other blog that Sam keeps about her adventures in mommy-hood was used to set the stage for her final farewell. I understand that shit happens and businesses fold, and I know that in this economy its bound to happen more often and hurt a bit more, but DAMN, this just ain't right.
IT JUST AIN'T RIGHT!

dear solange.
I think it's safe to say that Twitter is making me hate singers, actors, athletes and bloggers alike. These are people that I looked up too. Their music moved me, I've loved their movies, and their blogs inspire me. But twitter is f*cking up this love affair something wicked. Here's a reason why, Solange Knowles posted a question on Twitter that really got under my skin...
So I've decided to answer it:(clears throat)
Dear Solange,
Blogs, especially trashy ones are entertainment. Yes, some retarded people take the lies that these trashy blogs spew and totally believe it, I get that. But DO YOU read cnn.com before you venture to these said blogs and scope the things they say about you? I highly doubt it.
I know that you probably don't like these blogs and some of the bullshit they speak about, but think about it Solo, any kind of publicity is good publicity, even the bad stuff. Isn't the internet and its opinions essential to your success? Sometimes people read that stuff and automatically get interested in your music, just off of basic bullshit.
So the next time you trash blogs or talk about 'stupid blogger idiots' on your twitter just remember this: some of those bloggers follow you, some of them even like your music, and your sometimes condescending tweets annoys the shit out of us. We're tired of celebrities playing us like we're idiots...
I'm just saying.

the peter parker moment.
So yea..Kid Cudi isn't retiring. According to the video below he says that his personal life was fucked up but he was killin it as Kid Cudi. Compared his experience to Spiderman when Peter Parker wanted to quit being the man when his personal life was messed up. Or something like that. Check the video.
I love Kid Cudi, I can't wait to get to opportunity to watch him perform live someday, but these little temper tantrums some of these new artists have...one day your in, the next out...is getting annoying. I hope we don't see another one of these temper tantrums. Like EVER...
