"She needs a new journal. The one she has is problematic. To get to the present, she needs to page through the past, and when she does, she remembers things, and her new journal entries become, for the most part, reactions to the days she regrets, wants to correct, rewrite."

I've been trying to figure out a spectacular way to store my growing collection of literature. I'm half tempted to stop trying to use my brain and just recreate this amazing room. [via]

a visual life| scott schuman.

Scott Schuman's The Sartorialist is hands down my favorite 'style blog' to watch. I've never grown tired of his vision or classic aesthetic, which is a true testament to how wonderful he is. I find myself wandering through the pages of his street photography several times a day collecting ideas on how to wear my clothing, and taking notes on what items I should be investing in. This is a great look into his creative process.

I live in cardigans.
Alice Lemoine's offering of handmade cardigans and knitwear is giving me the chills.
Wonderful.

Me thinks this looks a bit like a Dries Van Noten collection, no?
Who cares.

[begin profound literary quote]

"Like most others, I was a seeker, a mover, a malcontent, and at times a stupid hell-raiser. I was never idle long enough to do much thinking, but I felt somehow that some of us were making real progress, that we had taken an honest road, and the best of us would inevitably make it over the top. At the same time, I shared a dark suspicion that the life we were leading was a lost cause, that we were all actors, kidding ourselves along on a senseless odyssey. It was the tension between these two poles - a restless idealism on one hand and a sense of impending doom on the other - that kept me going."

GET OUT!| tom ford spring/summer 2011 (video)

I'm pretty sure that I'll never make enough money to even breath around these clothes, but that doesn't stop my chest from swelling with excitement over Tom Ford entering into womenswear once again, or the fact that he actually posted video from his super seclusive Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show.

My heart is content.

ever thine. ever mine. ever ours.

If you've seen Sex and the City (The Movie!), and were actually paying attention to anything besides the clothing or the fact that Sarah Jessica Parker looked like Skeletor without pants on (barf), then you would have heard her mention the book Love Letters of Great Men. It's an exceptional read, especially if you're apart of that jaded/cynical variety of people who believe 'falling in love' is like catching herpes, or something that comes around about as often as the Swine Flu.

This kinda made me cry like a hormonal bitch today.
And I don't care.

what the girls call murder.

I get away
almost everyday
with what the girls call,
what the girls call,
what the girls call,
the girls call murder.

I'm going to see Liz Phair here in a couple of weeks, and I can honestly say I haven't been this excited about seeing a live act in a long time.

And yes, I do plan on stalking her before, during, and after the show.
It's only right. Right?
