who?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Found this in the Southside.
It is quite possibly the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

but can you eat it?

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic
If all fruits and vegetables looked like this I'd try eating them more often. Until then I think I'll continue inhaling various "fruit" snacks and carefully packaged carrot sticks when I start to feel like a fat ass...

i want to go to there.

I've been trying to figure out a spectacular way to store my growing collection of literature. I'm half tempted to stop trying to use my brain and just recreate this amazing room. [via]

a visual life| scott schuman.

Scott Schuman's The Sartorialist is hands down my favorite 'style blog' to watch. I've never grown tired of his vision or classic aesthetic, which is a true testament to how wonderful he is. I find myself wandering through the pages of his street photography several times a day collecting ideas on how to wear my clothing, and taking notes on what items I should be investing in. This is a great look into his creative process.

my friends are both talented and extremely attractive.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic
I have some amazingly talented amigos.
How the hell did I get so lucky?

My former coworker and good friend Charles needed some pictures taken of him for reasons I'm not entirely sure of, so I decided to hook him up with my current coworker and good friend Marcus who happens to be a great photographer. The result of the shoot are so extraordinary I had to post them. I love having amazing buds.

Speaking of fantastic friendships, I'm counting down the days until I journey to the big city (New York!) for a couple days of fuckery with my favorite girls. The world shall implode when Kayta, Rio, Gilah, Randi, Jennifer Farris, Katya, and myself meet to drink, break things, and have tattoo play dates.

November, please get here soon!

I love seeing things like this.
Makes me feel so much better about wearing dresses while riding my bike.
See, you can be well dressed and still take part in physical activity.[sartoralist]

a sun drenched tomorrow.

"Now more than ever do I realize that I shall never be content with a sedatary life, and that I shall always be haunted by thoughts of a sun drenched elsewhere." - Isabelle Eberhardt

Couldn't have said it better myself.

just so you don't think i'm dead.

I'm not. I've just been preoccupied with life changes. It's weird, I've always believed people come into our lives for a specific reason, but the last few months have had me thoroughly confused as to why some individuals are around me. I guess you could say I needed to spring clean my life. The cleaning out of creeps and losers has been fulfilling in the craziest way. Like a huge weight of bullshit has been lifted off my frail shoulders. In any case, the few and true friends and family I have, have been making my life a magical wonderland of happiness as of late. And since buying a brand new fancy camera a couple months ago, I've gone back to my first love of taking ridiculously pointless pictures that only mean anything to me. And now I shall share these pointless photos with all of you, because it's obvious you all totally get me. Right?

Since I equate all of life's little hiccups to either episodes of Seinfeld or song lyrics, I'll leave you all with this little nugget of greatness that sums up the last month of my life: "I know way to many people here right now that I didn't know last year. Who the fuck are ya'll?". Drake to the rescue? I think so...

girl crush| tilda swinton.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic

Anyway, the reason I'm posting these photos of Tilda Swinton is because I'm a bit obsessed with her. Well, her face anyway. No, I take that back, I love all of her. Every bit. She's flawless. I've argued with many in defense of my undying devotion to Swinton, mostly because people tend to think she's a bit quirky, for lack of a better word. Well, I think she's perfection. A bit odd, and completely androgynous, but I believe that's a big part of her allure; she's not like everyone else. But then again, why in the hell would she want to be like everyone else. I know I wouldn't.

love is seriously everywhere

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic
Today the concept of love is so meaningless. Yes...I said that. It's meaningless. I've heard people I've known for no more than 5 minutes proclaim their love for me without knowing who I am or what I'm about. The love between men and women is so complicated and messy, it's hard to think about the fact that there is one person for everyone. Especially when bouncing from person to person without even the smallest thought is "like..so in". Although it may seem that love is about as easy to obtain as a Big Mac, that doesn't make the concept of love any less enticing.

As Ewan McGregor once said in a little movie about a brothel: the greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return. [Brusse]

Fashion156 has the best editorials, I swear. Their much fun to look at and incredibly inspiring. The magazine itself is one of my favorites, I find some great ideas for blog posts, and always seem to learn something new whenever I make my daily trips to their fantastic blog. Check it out when you have a moment, I'm positive you'll feel the same way I do.

luigi tadini.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic
I've never seen this guy before, but he's magical. After doing my research (and by research, I mean Google) I discovered that Mr Tadini is not only a sometime actor - he was in the Devil Wears Prada apparently- and model, but also the heir to a jewelry family, recently becoming Vice President in his family's company. He's pretty much a glorified socialite, and has typically been the arm candy of Amanda Hearst. All these superficial facts aside...he's glorious. Why can't all men dress like this? The world would be so beautiful dontcha think?

the power of movement: danze

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic
I've always been in intrigued about the power behind basic movement and the emotion someone can invoke simply from the way they move their body. Something as simple as walking down the street, sitting straight in a chair can change the way clothes look on a body, and can also change how people look at you. Recently I've been trying to be more aware of how I move, when I move, and how I feel when this movement happens. This editorial, courtesy of Amica Italy's March 2010 issue, is obviously inspired by movement and has prompted me to wonder: although are clothes are beautiful, how beautiful can they be if we don't walk with the confidence in them?

The question may be a bit insignificant, but this editorial isn't. It's beautiful.
