Me thinks this looks a bit like a Dries Van Noten collection, no?
Who cares.

Proenza Schouler forever!

Dear You.
Have I told you lately how much I love you?
Because I do.
Come live in my closet amongst my favorite things.
It'll be fun, you can converse with my Benetton, my Chloe,
and even have small chat with the Balenciaga I never wear.
Please?
Pretty Please?

Love,
Dee

proenza schouler's got a new ad campaign.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Yay for this!
I love Proenza Schouler with a capital WHOA.
But I'm not sure about this campaign.
Where's the color?
The vibrancy?

Their collection for Fall/Winter 2010 was the uniform for a school girl gone downtown, and although I think the campaign represents that, it would've been so nice to see some color.

Is that too much to ask for?
Oh well, I still love it!

oh my gawd..| proenza schouler fall 2010.

I guess I should have known Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler were taking us all back to school from the looks of their Pre-Fall collection, but I didn't know it would be like this. I'm officially in love. As of right now PS is the only brand that keeps me consistently engaged and inspired season after season. I love their updated version of the letterman's jacket. I love the leather detail. I love the baby doll dresses. I even love their beauty choices (dark lipstick is something I'm thinking about trying). And although I've never been a fan of high waisted denim ANYTHING, I've still got a bit of love left for the J Brand jeans they designed for next Fall. It's so perfect I could cry...

I tried to cram as many looks as I could into this one post, but if you love what you see there's more where this came from here --> [nymag]

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in my circle of friends that gets amped about Proenza Schouler. Like, seriously excited. No matter the concept, the colors, or overall collection, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough never fail to inspire me. Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2010. I have no words for this. Proenza Schouler continues to reign supreme in my heart. Can't wait for the Fall 2010 presentation. If this is any indication as to what their collection will be like, my mind is about to be blown.

rag & bone pre-fall 2010

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic
I'm baaaccckkkkk! Hopefully you've all had a great holiday season! Personally, the holidays are a bittersweet time for me. Not because I'm a Scrooge (I am), but more so because the entire season is overly commercialized and annoying (to say the least). I mean, the excitement is nice, but being assaulted several times by Macy's bags isn't. I'm incredibly sorry for the lack of posts, I took a forced sabbatical not only from the internet, but from blogging in general. I needed a little blogger vacation to soak up some inspirational rays, but never fear, I'm back and better than ever.

I spotted the Rag & Bone Pre-Fall looks, and needless to say I'm pretty excited. Rag & Bone is one of my favorite brands coming in second to Proenza Schouler. These pictures get me so excited for fashion week in February. Speaking of which, I can't believe 2009 went by so quickly, and it's almost time for another fashion week. Didn't we just have one? Time sure flies!

God it's good to be back!

limited edition experiences @ miami design district.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic
Limited edition product from top designers is such a hit or miss with me. Unless I'm completely dedicated to that designer (Proenzaaaa!) I find that limited editions create unnecessary hype around products that are altered in the tiniest of ways. Plus it sucks when you wait until the product in question is released only to find after hours upon hours of waiting by your laptop to click that 'add to bag' button, your precious limited edition Nooka watch is already sold out. If by now your wondering have I ever experienced the aforementioned angst, you'd be correct. But I'm not bitter...Not at all...

Limited Edition Experiences is bringing heavy hitting fashion houses to the Miami Design District to present unique temporary stores, programming and events full of limited edition items from designers such as Billionaire Boys Club, Gucci, Christian Dior Homme, Neon Monster, and my all time favorite Proenza Schouler. Designers will present limited edition merchandise plus innovative programming that reflect their creative viewpoints. Stores open November 30th and will remain open through the fall/winter season. Captured above is one of the products Fendi will be selling. It's a Do-It-Yourself Fendi bag! [MDD]

basso & brooke spring 2010.

It's cold outside.

To some of you who live in America, and other parts of the world for that matter, it's not cold, but to a person who absolutely hates anything below 65 degrees, this is basically winter. The moment I'm able to see my breath clearly, we have a problem. It doesn't help much that in my inbox I get emails about various Spring 2010 shows filled to the brim with what will be hot next spring and summer. It makes me want spring and summer NOW, not 9 months from now.

Basso & Brooke who showed in London this year is just another reason why I want warmer weather right now. It's almost as good as Proenza Schouler. I only say almost because nothing is better than Proenza...some collections are close, but never get that cigar.

If you're interested in seeing more of what you can't wear now, and then shedding some cold tears like I did, head over to Coutorture for more.

proenza schouler spring 2010 shoes.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I've already expressed my intense fascination for all things having to do with Proenza Schouler, so this post shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. I'm in love with the brand. The above picture is a huge reason why, forever innovative with their shoe designs and always pushing the limit of what is perceived to be fashionable. I've got a year to save up some dough! all hail.

I think we should all take a moment of silence and give thanks to the God of designer shoes for the immaculate creations before you right now. Proenza Schouler is my top three tier of designers that excite me on a regular basis. The second I get something, anything bearing this label, even a scrap of cloth, I will have known I've made it. Seriously. I might even cry...[seaofshoes]
