I wish I could walk out of my house in a lace bra and panties with a matching cover all. Only problem is with the sub zero temperature making it's way to my hometown plus the inevitable blank stares I'll rack up, I'm a little weary of getting naked for fashions sake. But I CAN see this on Lady Gags, mostly because she's allergic to pants and seems to be inviting everyone in on the pants-less fun. Maybe the bras and panties aren't an option, but the cardigans, sheer tops, and tanks with braided embellishments are staples I'd make room in my closet for. How about you? [stylebubble, claretough]

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Although I really hate reading gossip sites, I can't ever stop myself from seeking their slimy knowledge (cough) every solitary day from the inner sanctums of my bedroom after my first cup of coffee and before I take a shower. With that being said, you can learn a lot from gossip blogs. Not that any of the information they claim to have found should be taken serious, but you can learn more reading those seedy sites, than any watered down magazine. Today I learned that GIANT magazine has closed their doors for good. I'm not entirely sure if it's true, but if it is this disturbs me for various reasons:

1) When I decided that I wanted to work for a magazine I made a list of the top ten publications I'd like to start and finish my career at. Of these ten publications, three (Missbehave, Vibe, and now GIANT) have already shut down. What's a girl to do?! Vogue may be the job "a million girls would kill for", but I've never been one of those girls. It seems limited and a little far fetched. Plus I think Vogue is boring and repetitive (don't act like it isn't true).

2) As we all know the age of print publication is dying. Actually, I think it's cold dead body is already in the ground. We can't even blame it on the economy anymore, people just aren't buying magazines like they use too. That scares me because I relied heavily on magazines such as GIANT, Missbehave, and Vibe for inspiration, and now that they're gone it makes me wonder whose next, Complex? Interview?

I think a lot of people would be surprised at how many magazines I have just laying around my house. I collect them, I keep them, I reference them. I've got stacks of Vanity Fair, NYMag, Interview, V, and W magazines covering the walls of my bedroom keeping me company. I even framed the cover of the last issue of Missbehave...I'm THAT crazy.

R.I.P. GIANT. You may be gone, but the three years of issues I've got laying beside my bed will keep me company until you return.

I'm going to go cry now.

I've got a digital SLR which I absolutely adore, but my heart, (and obviously not my bank account) is still longing for a Leica. Not that I would even know what to do with it, but it's something I'd like to say I own one, maybe even wear it around my neck for show. Leica cameras are already super expensive (about $5,000 a piece); and their rumored collaboration camera with luxury brand Hermes retailing at $14,000 makes the hair on my neck stand on end. The very special edition M7 camera comes in silver chrome with calfskin leather accents in two colors. Not that it matters or anything, but for those of you with bulging pockets and limitless credit lines, the Leica M7 Hermes camera will be available in the UK sometime in December.

hellz bellz spring 2010.

I swear, Twitter is the best thing to ever happen to my life. I find out information ten times faster than before I knew Twitter existed. Now instead of scouring the internet for interesting information, I can just follow all the brands, celebrities, friends and family I love and get the inside scope in 140 characters or less. Thank Jesus for Twitter!

Just a few minutes ago, while I was yelling at my television and tweeting (or is it twatting?) my friend Kevin, I received an interesting tweet from Hellz Bellz which led me to Limitè Magazine's Guide to Spring 2010. The guide then led me to a peek at *SURPRISE* the Hellz Bellz Spring 2010 collection! This is both a good and bad thing. Good because I'll have ample time to count my pennies, cross my fingers, and say my prayers long enough to get the goods, and bad because the collection just makes me want sunnier days and warmer weather that much more. I'm glad Hellz is opening up to different shapes and a cleaner palette. I guess the days of graphic tees are almost over. It's really great to see brands evolve.

Just spotted more pictures from H&M's Spring 2010 collection, only this time Swedish stylist and blogger Caroline got a peek into the retailer's main showroom to give us a look at accessories and other odds and ends not shown in the pictures I posted previously. Finally H&M seems to be getting on the four finger ring bandwagon, I've never been a huge fan of their accessories, but I'm impressed at how much their designs have grown in that area. Their starting to remind me of a cheaper version of Topshop, and that isn't a bad thing at all. Cheaper is always better when you're in the middle of a recession! [carolinesmode]

hellz yeah!

I'd heard awhile ago the Hellz Bellz was teaming up with Reebok to design a shoe, but at the time I didn't know what to make of the collaboration. The news of the partnership, and especially the design of the footwear, was kept on the low, so much in fact I'd forgotten they'd even created a shoe to begin with. But alas the Hellz Bellz x Reebok shoe is real, and it's not at all what I expected. Featuring a fold down flap displaying a bit of Hellz propaganda, stud detailing, and a set of interchangeable shoe strings (black, white, neon yellow), the sneaker is definitely a step in a wonderful direction for Hellz Bellz.
