reinventing my wheel.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic
I'm thinking minimalism is the goal, style wise, for 2011.
Classic lines.
Flattering silhouettes.
Perfect tailoring.

No more hoarding things because they're on sale.
No more luxury brand bullshit.

Less is more.

perfect.

I would dress like this every single day of my life if it would mean I wouldn't get mistaken for a lesbian or cross dresser. Anne Pinguet has had my heart for awhile. She's a fabulous example of how menswear can look amazing on a womanly body. I think of her every time I wear a blazer or my many pairs of oxfords. I'm very masculine in what I love. Well, maybe not. I'm a fan of clean lines, great tailoring, muted colors. I've never been a fan of the brown/green family of colors, but toss me anything navy/black and my eyes will start shooting sparks. I so adore this...[jak&jil]

Tommy Ton the creator of one of my favorite blogs, Jak & Jil, got the amazing opportunity to document the favorite items of one of my personal heroes, Vogue Nippon Editor at Large Anna Dello Russo. My friends, my heart is happy. F*cking MAGIC!

oh taylor...

It's not secret that I dig Taylor Tomasi A LOT. These photographs of her in Paris for the Spring 2010 runway shows have been sitting on my desktop for awhile now, and as much as I'd love to keep them to myself, it's Christmas so I'm sharing. Her style makes me want to take risks with my wardrobe which, in the past, has been something I've found particularly difficult to do being that I'm not a huge fan of change. Nevertheless Taylor's shorts are speaking to my soul, and every other part of my being for that matter...I want.

Wouldn't that be a fun DIY project? Where's my wallet? I need a bedazzler ASAP! [stockholmstreetstyle]

amerie's personal style in elle magazine.

I love Amerie. She's refreshingly gorgeous, and never looks like she tries too hard to be beautiful, it just comes naturally. That's more than I can say for a lot of the regulars we see on gossip/fashion sites, on our televisions, and listen to in the music we hear everyday. Elle magazine recently sat down with the singer/songwriter to talk about her personal style and how she stays so flawless. The picture above is my favorite from the bunch with Amerie wearing a boyfriend shirt from designer Steven Alan, denim shorts, and Minnetonka fringe ankle boots, plus more from the shoot below.
