i normally don't like you, but...
January Jones in Lanvin at the Golden Globes. I normally do not care for this creature. I think she's a sub-par actress, and her character on Mad Men pisses me off frequently. This being said, there is no denying her beauty and the fact that her choices in red carpet attire is beyond exceptional. Even the details of the look are perfect. The headband, jewels, red lips...love! Surrounded by the nude get ups of the evening and ruffled messes, she looked polished and pristine. I swear she was the best dressed of the night. Hands down. Just another reason why Albert Elbaz is one of my hero's.

india.
L.A. artist Carlos Ramos is preparing to open another one of his amazing shows, this time focusing his solo exhibition on the vibrantly colorful India. The show depicts Ramos' love and fascination with Indian culture with imaginative caricatures and images ranging from the Ganges River to the statue of Bahubali. "India" will be open to the public until September 3, 2009 at the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, California.

this is untouched?!
I've always been aware of Amber Rose's obvious beauty, but like most people, I tend to question what I see on camera. Makeup, photoshop and endless other tools are used on a daily basis to create the illusion that celebrities are flawless. The fact remains that they aren't, they have facial flaws and body insecurities just like the rest of us. Amber Rose is not this type of celeb.
These are UNTOUCHED pictures of Amber from a recent drop by visit to her new modeling agency Ford Models. I knew she was pretty, but good Lord. She's kinda flawless...
I'm not going to lie, I still think she's just going to be in advertising editorials where they can fix her and catalogs, those thighs ain't made for runway. Sorry...

cameron diaz for V magazine.
V Magazine is getting set to release its #60 issue tomorrow, with actress Cameron Diaz is unleashing her inner dominatrix on the cover. The cover and photos I've seen of Cameron's editoral spread remind me a lot of early Madonna. That whole 'I'm a girl and I'll kick your ass, now hear me roar' type of Madonna. The look suits her, it's really nice to see her in a different light, not all 'Miley Cyrus Hannah Montana' happy go lucky all the time.
Diaz has a new movie that just came out, which I'm assuming this cover will help promote. The movie is based on one of my favorite books 'My Sisters Keeper' by author Jodi Picoult. If you haven't read the book, I suggest you do, it's a million times better than the movie is, but you be the judge.

the king lives on!
By now I'm pretty sure everyone is becoming a little overwhelmed with the ever increasing Michael Jackson news. Needless to say his untimely death took all of us by shock, no one expected it at all, but I have to admit I'm a little tired of the news on him. Not because I don't and will not always love him and his music, but because most of these news outlets who report on the Michael Jackson tragedy, thought Michael Jackson WAS a tragedy. Its a little hypocritical...but then again, what do I know?
Anyway, I haven't done a MJ tribute, because I got to other blogs and that's all I see, but after seeing these photos I think its time. Spotted this Michael Jackson inspired editorial from a old issue of Italian Vanity Fair styled by Elisa Goodkind. Amazing the resemblance between the model and Michael. This is beautiful!

being a blogger sometimes pays off.
Popular retailer Urban Outfitter just announced that they will be collaborating with Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes who will design pairs of shoes under the label J. Aldridge for Urban Outfitters. The first three pairs will be released July 15, and the last three in December.
Jane is a seventeen year old who has already made quite an impact on the fashion blogging scene. She's been featured in Teen Vogue twice now, and along with her newest endeavor designing for UO, she also keeps up with her blog, showcasing her love for footwear, as well as her fashion inspirations and travels.

I'm officially jealous.
This information about Jane just goes to show that keeping a blog and actually working hard enough to make it successful, might actually work out one of these days.

well at least she got a relaxer.
The Met Costume Gala is one of my favorite ways to star gaze. You get your favorite beautiful celebrities, your favorite beautiful designers, sprinkle it with some fuckery, and VIOLA! Masterpiece in the making.
Princess of all things awesome, Rihanna decided to use this time to let us all know that nappy mop hair she's been sporting lately did NOT get the best of her, by stepping out in this beautiful tuxedo. I'm having mixed feelings about this, but at least she got that good ol' relaxer right?
Remember kids: Fashion is what you can get away with...the bolder the better.

this my friends, is some scary shit.
Michael Jackson (yes, the real one) had a press conference today to announce that he will be entertaining the world (specifically the LDN) with his last show. I wonder if he still has it? Sad. So terribly sad...

the obaminator: mad cool.
I think my love for this man just grew a bit..."In his pre-inagural visit to 'Ben's Chili Bowl', a popular land mark for Washington's African American community, President Barack Obama was asked by a cashier if he wanted his change back"
"Nah, we straight" replied Obama
MAD COOL!

the yeezy i know and sometimes love.
Now this is some shit worth blogging about. Some of Martin Louis the King Jr's performances on VH1 Storytellers. I didn't get a chance to see the show, and I'm not going to lie and say I was actually planning on viewing it either. He's a great performer, there is no doubt about it...

kanye & his stripper friend
I'm not one to judge (Ok maybe a little, and only when it's funny), but lets face it, Kanye's latest arm candy is in fact a reformed stripper. A well known one at that. My first instinct in learning of her and actually seeing her, was to scream HOE at the top of my lungs but then I thought for a moment. Who am I to say whether or not she's appropriate for Martin Louis the King Jr? I guess if he finds her worthy of her time, she must be special.
The more I look at her, the more I see her beauty. She's got an amazing body and a nice little style about her, so do wtf you want Kanye. No hate here...
On a sidenote though. Does anyone else think her style is influenced by the fashionista Kanye West, or was this just something she came up with on her own? Hmmmm...

obama is not playin.
The Obamiator never ever EVER ceases to amaze me. He's the most awesome President of not only my lifetime, but of my parents, and grandparents as well. Every day I try to read up on what's going on in our nation, especially with the recession killing jobs and my bank account. Every time I read the paper, watch the news, or read political blogs, I get excited about the difference Pres Obama is making which in turn makes me want to get off my ass and do some good!Obama's latest effort in jump starting this wack economy has impressed me the most. Right after signing The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act last tuesday, the White House created Recovery.gov, a website which will be open to all Americans so that we can see exactly where the hell our hard earned tax dollars are going.
It doesn't end there! In an effort to maintain full accountability and transparency in this administration, the President is also creating the Recovery Act Transparency & Accountability Board which will be headed up by Earl E. Davaney a former fraud investigator and white collar crime investigator for the Secret Service.
The Obaminator is on the move, trying to make this world a better one for us to live in...I'm so excited!

yeezy is that you?
Is it just me or does Martin Louis the King Jr actually look kinda good in this mag cover? Maybe I'm losing it...

score.
Today President Obaminator (ahem, Obama) signed the $787 billion stimulus program into law. I also stumbled upon Recovery.Gov the website that allows Americans to see where the hell our tax money is going. O yea, and the White House has a buttload of videos on Vimeo. This has got to be the most transparent administration in our country to date. Hands down.
