live. breath. be.
"Fake it until you make it. Act good until you are good. Practice confidence until you're confident, be patient even when it's killing you. Consider yourself interesting until you truly believe you are, and eventually you won't be faking it anymore...you'll be living it. (Janice Dickinson)

where is this couch and why isn't it in my house?
Hey Ya'll (Britney voice)
During my hiatus I started spring cleaning my laptop and found this loveliest upholstered couch I'd forgotten to blog about. As soon as I saw it, I remembered why I loved it. It's ridiculous. Ridiculous as in AWESOME. So ridiculous that it belongs in my home, not for sitting on obviously, but more so for me to stare at in wonderment. This is the couch of my dreams. Sigh....
I'm back...this feels gooooddddd!

easter options.
Easter is this weekend, and aside from thanking sweet baby Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins, I'd also like to thank him for these Christian Louboutin Fred leather lace up flats. Seriously. Thank you Lord for these magnificent shoes and for the big fat paycheck that will allow me to buy them. Happy Easter everyone!

remembering barbie fondly.
I've never been a huge fan of Barbie, but since I'm highly amused by the absurd, this practically had me falling out of my clothes with excitement (which isn't that hard to do, but whatever...). Margaux Lange creates jewelry around the parts of girls best friend, Barbie. Using every possible body part to created earrings, rings, and necklaces, the pieces may be a bit hefty in price, but they're one of a kind and incredibly perfect. I found these beauties on Etsy courtesy of my friend Sarah and her intense fascination with craziness. I'm in love! Especially with the heart necklaces with Barbies boobs right in the middle. Yes, please!

why are you ramming clogs down my throat?
Has anyone else noticed that whatever trends glide down the runway, no matter how ridiculous or dated they may seem, become fashion law moments after the critics give their two (or five, depending on which critic) cents on a collection. Seriously, it doesn't matter how off hand or completely insane something may seem (temporary tattoos and obscene amounts of velvet included), if it's designed by the right company, seen in the right magazines and on the right people, everyone flocks towards it.
The trend in question is "new and slightly modern" version of the clog. I just got through reading about Opening Ceremony's Fall 2010 collection which includes their updated version of the clog. I happen to dig what they've done to the shoe, but what disturbed me the most was that not only was I looking at OC's version and the accompanying article, but I was also accosted with a side advertisement for the Topshop 'Seanna' closed toe clogs. I've got nothing against clogs or those who happen to love wearing them, but I'm dumbfounded at how many people are jumping on the band wagon and how quickly it's happening. A vast amount of high middle and low end brands are clogging it up, and in the process giving me a headache. Is this the new 'it' shoe? Are people seriously going to wear these things? And why in the hell are all these magazines and websites force feeding me this shoe? Why?!

what kind of fuckery is this
luigi tadini.
I've never seen this guy before, but he's magical. After doing my research (and by research, I mean Google) I discovered that Mr Tadini is not only a sometime actor - he was in the Devil Wears Prada apparently- and model, but also the heir to a jewelry family, recently becoming Vice President in his family's company. He's pretty much a glorified socialite, and has typically been the arm candy of Amanda Hearst. All these superficial facts aside...he's glorious. Why can't all men dress like this? The world would be so beautiful dontcha think?
