ashish spring 2010.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Sequins to Ashish Gupta are what air is to those of us breathing on a regular basis: their essential to life. He creates the most ridiculously loud and obnoxious clothing I can only pull off in my dreams, but that doesn't make me love the designer and his label any less. His Spring collection was based around tourism, although the Nike influence does have me thrown a bit. Not sure what that has to do with tourism. It would have been amazing to see a I ♥ NYC shirt!

This just reminds me of how much I wanted his leopard print green and pink sequined harem pants from his Fall/Winter 09 collection REALLY bad. Seeing as the global economy is going to shit, people are still losing their jobs, oh yea, and the fact that I'm POOR, the chances of me even touching them is rather slim.

But that Just Do It shirt WILL BE MINE. Mark my words!

h&m party collection 2009.

Photobucket
I feel like I'm repeating myself (and I am), but this information was just too good not to broadcast. I've previously stated in a couple of posts how H&M is promising something special for fashion lovers and practical consumers everywhere, and with the preview shots for their 2009 Party Collection, I can see that their keeping pen to paper and making sure to fulfill that promise. I'm glad to see the collection incorporating some of the emerging trends such as sequins, and velvet while remaining true to classics designs like the strapless dress, and that bootie I'm quickly falling in love with. Lots of shimmer and shine to get ready for ladies!

If you love what you see, be sure to visit my love Tee over at Trenddoll for shots of accessories, and lingerie, in addition to detailed pictures of everything you see above.

Do you love it?

i blame clive davis

Photobucket
This (points to above picture) is what happens when Clive Davis doesn't let you make the type of dark, rocker, "slit my writsts" music you want to make as an artist. You start hanging out with your good pals Ho Ho and Snickers, and start dating your ex boyfriend McDonald's.

I love me some Kelly Clarkson, despite what she looks like on her worse day (again pointing to the above picture) but hot DAYMN! The last time she appeared on Saturday Night Live, I had to look twice at those thighs. I thought my eyes were deceiving me! I'm not sure if she's going through something or if she just doesn't give a shit anymore. I kind of miss the fun loving, "Since You Been Gone" Kelly Clarkson we had a couple years ago. Now she just looks like a soccer mom at her day job staring at the clock waiting for her time to clock the eff out. Sadface...

the magical $14,000 bag.

Photobucket
I've been lusting after these Proenza Schouler satchel bags for awhile now. Their often featured on e-retailers I can never afford (ahem Net -a- Porter), so I'd never give the prices a second glance. Unlike some, I'm smart enough to know and embrace that I have a very specific monetary limit when purchasing items I love/like/or need.

At first I thought: "a girl can dream.." until I looked at the prices on these bags. $14,500 for a crocodile satchel may seem like chump change for some, but for me it's INSANE. Even though the brown and black versions are substantially cheaper, (and a bit smaller) their prices are also a little steep on the pockets. If the Gods of retail ever smile upon me and decided to actually give my wallet the strength to withstand such a purchase, the entire time I'd have it I'd be thinking of all the other ways I could have spent $14,500. Or maybe I'm just cheap?

How much is just too much?

esra roise.

Photobucket
Esra Roise is a freelance illustrator from Norway who likes to do magical things with a pencil. I initially thought this was the work of a professional, but she's still studying to get her bachelors in Visual Communication. She's got a stellar resume to just be freelance, and still a student, with clients like NYLON magazine, United Airlines, and FAN Magazine. Amazing...

can it fit in my back pocket?

Photobucket
I've been looking for a new bike for awhile now. I can't seem to find one that has the exact color, the exact weight, or the exact price range to fit my empty budget, but I digress. I've seen a couple bikes in the past month that I want to fold up and take home with me, but I never thought twice about it, because after all, what bike actually folds. Right?

Today via the coolest gadget magazine ever, Like COOL, I learned that there is such a bike, a folding bike that is, and it was produced by 24 year old student Dominic Hargreaves, from London. I guess good ol' Dominic created this nice (read: AMAZING!) bike after the one he had collapsed. The bike can be folded completely into the space of the wheel. Naturally this thing is only one of a kind, but I hear he's in conversation to mass produce the amazing folding bike. I think when I get my hands on or anywhere near this, I may cry tears of eternal joy...
