google apparently thinks i'm a lesbian.

A friend of mine tweeted me this revelation today. He was Googling me (I'm not entirely sure why), and when he put my name into the search engine it suggested I was into girls. I wonder if there really is a Donna Lesbian. I mean I can totally see how they'd come to that conclusion seeing as my middle name LeSean DOES resemble the word lesbian. And come to think of it, I'm very close to my vagina best friend Katya which can sometimes border inappropriate, and I do happen to be involved with Jennifer Farris on Facebook, but then again grabbing a friends boob every now and then is totally legit, right? Google seems to think this makes me a lesbian. It doesn't, but it sure is fun to watch a search engine determine your sexual preference.

Google sure got it wrong though...

I'm not. I've just been preoccupied with life changes. It's weird, I've always believed people come into our lives for a specific reason, but the last few months have had me thoroughly confused as to why some individuals are around me. I guess you could say I needed to spring clean my life. The cleaning out of creeps and losers has been fulfilling in the craziest way. Like a huge weight of bullshit has been lifted off my frail shoulders. In any case, the few and true friends and family I have, have been making my life a magical wonderland of happiness as of late. And since buying a brand new fancy camera a couple months ago, I've gone back to my first love of taking ridiculously pointless pictures that only mean anything to me. And now I shall share these pointless photos with all of you, because it's obvious you all totally get me. Right?

Since I equate all of life's little hiccups to either episodes of Seinfeld or song lyrics, I'll leave you all with this little nugget of greatness that sums up the last month of my life: "I know way to many people here right now that I didn't know last year. Who the fuck are ya'll?". Drake to the rescue? I think so...

sometimes i download fonts for fun.

That is a sad sad revelation, but it's true. I can't help it. I really love typography.

A couple days ago I was chatting with a friend about my love for type. He couldn't understand why I was cutting our coffee break short to run home and download a font package I'd paid for the night before. This wasn't your basic Times New Roman font pack people. This was the Vanity Fair font pack. This was important. I've gotten use to being on the receiving end of blank stares and confused sighs when I talk about some of the things that interest me. I get it, not everyone is into what I'm into, but I'm pretty certain there are more people out there who know about Helvetica, loathe Comic Sans as much as I do, and download fonts in their spare time. And no these people aren't all graphic designers.

I think that's the reason these ABChairs designed by Roeland Otten caught my eye. He's taken the two things I love most in this world (interior design and type, not food and alcohol) and put them together in the most delightful way.

suck on this: jewel heritage.

I've recently become obsessed with scouring thrift stores and local jewelry boutiques searching for one of a kind accessories. My collection of goods has multiplied in the past year because 1) I can never say no to anything, and 2) my rebellious nature doesn't take to kindly to cheap, plain jewelry. Last night after my required marathon around my Tumbler blogroll I stumbled onto this piece of heaven. The Jewel Heritage eyeball ring and accompanying necklace are just the outlandish accessories I get suckered into purchasing. There isn't much information on where to get the rings, but the designers have a lovely crackbook page busting at the seams with pictures of their creations and a email address I've been stalking for the last week. Lord knows when I find out the price range this ring will be in my possession pronto.

say you'll go to nirvana...

"Love is such a novelty, a rarely painted masterpiece, a place few people go or even know. A underwater rocket love, exactly what I'm searching for; you're brave enough to go, so tell me so..."

God I love this song.

the tension of opposites.

"Life is a series of pulls back and forth. You want to do one thing, but you are bound to something else. Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldn't. You take certain things for granted, even when you know you should never take anything for granted. A tension of opposites, like a pull on a rubber band. And most of us live somewhere in the middle."
