Katya which can sometimes border inappropriate, and I do happen to be involved with Jennifer Farris on Facebook, but then again grabbing a friends boob every now and then is totally legit, right? Google seems to think this makes me a lesbian. It doesn't, but it sure is fun to watch a search engine determine your sexual preference.
Google sure got it wrong though...
Since I equate all of life's little hiccups to either episodes of Seinfeld or song lyrics, I'll leave you all with this little nugget of greatness that sums up the last month of my life: "I know way to many people here right now that I didn't know last year. Who the fuck are ya'll?". Drake to the rescue? I think so...
A couple days ago I was chatting with a friend about my love for type. He couldn't understand why I was cutting our coffee break short to run home and download a font package I'd paid for the night before. This wasn't your basic Times New Roman font pack people. This was the Vanity Fair font pack. This was important. I've gotten use to being on the receiving end of blank stares and confused sighs when I talk about some of the things that interest me. I get it, not everyone is into what I'm into, but I'm pretty certain there are more people out there who know about Helvetica, loathe Comic Sans as much as I do, and download fonts in their spare time. And no these people aren't all graphic designers.
I think that's the reason these ABChairs designed by Roeland Otten caught my eye. He's taken the two things I love most in this world (interior design and type, not food and alcohol) and put them together in the most delightful way.
Jewel Heritage eyeball ring and accompanying necklace are just the outlandish accessories I get suckered into purchasing. There isn't much information on where to get the rings, but the designers have a lovely crackbook page busting at the seams with pictures of their creations and a email address I've been stalking for the last week. Lord knows when I find out the price range this ring will be in my possession pronto.
"Love is such a novelty, a rarely painted masterpiece, a place few people go or even know. A underwater rocket love, exactly what I'm searching for; you're brave enough to go, so tell me so..."God I love this song.
"Life is a series of pulls back and forth. You want to do one thing, but you are bound to something else. Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldn't. You take certain things for granted, even when you know you should never take anything for granted. A tension of opposites, like a pull on a rubber band. And most of us live somewhere in the middle."
